NEW YORK, New York — Alexa Ray Joel was hospitalized in New York City on Saturday afternoon after an apparent drug overdose, according to the New York Post and WABC News.
The Post reported that Alexa, daughter of musician Billy Joel and supermodel Christie Brinkley, was rushed to St. Vincent’s Hospital after a 911 call. Alexa allegedly ingested a number of sleeping pills in what authorities reportedly consider a suicide attempt.
