My daughter

was very fortunate to have the opportunity to meet Jordin before the concert. Miss Sparks during a back stage pre-show promotion greeting excited young teenagers for photos, but she herself was the most enthused of the bunch. Posted on 12 Oct 2009 at 11:45pm

Freeport, Grand Bahama – On Friday 9th October, a conglomerate of religious leaders and friends alike gathered to celebrate with Pastor Kermit E. Saunders and the Kingdom Worship Centre Int’l (K.W.C.I.) family in their first Ordination and Commissioning Ceremony.  From the moment one entered the doors, one knew that God had something very special laid out for the night, not only for those being commissioned and ordained, but also for those that came out to lend support. After nearly a year of studying to show themselves approved, Darren Cooper, Matthew Nixon and Oredas Johnson were ordained to the office of Deacons; Kelda Sweeting was also ordained as a Minister of Music; and Adrienne Saunders (wife of Pastor Saunders), Howard Symonette, Garnett Rolle, Gary Cooper, Valentine Johnson, Patrick Pierre and Wilfred Seymour were ordained as Ministers…

Mike Tyson Tells Oprah Robin Givens Abused Him Also

Posted on 12 Oct 2009 at 6:45pm

Posted by: www.flystylelife.com

In a highly anticipated interview former Heavyweight Champion MIKE TYSON sat down with OPRAH to talk about life after the tragic death of his young daughter, the biting of HOLYFIELD’S ear and that heart-stopping Barbara Walters interview so many years ago when then-wife ROBIN GIVENS blew the lid off of their abusive relationship.

In their one-hour sit-down, Oprah finally asked Mike the question I believe we’ve all have wanted to know. Why did Tyson sit there through the interview while Robin accused him of abusing her?

Tyson: “I was in shock. I couldn’t believe she was saying those things…She hit me too. We hit each other.”

Tyson also spoke about the fight that ultimately ended his career, in which he bit the ear of EVANDER HOLYFIELD during a fight, effectively severing the tip.

Tyson: “No, I didn’t feel guilty…I don’t feel (my apology) was sincere.”

Looks like Mike’s dropping some bombs today on Oprah. Check your local listings. And check back here for the episode as it becomes available.

Mad Men: What’s Next for Sal?

Posted on 12 Oct 2009 at 6:45pm

“My jaw dropped; my heart sunk,” Bryan Batt tells TVGuide.com of his reaction to reading a climactic scene from Sunday’s episode of Mad Men between Don Draper (Jon Hamm) and Salvatore Romano. “It’s so heartbreaking.”

When one of Sterling Cooper’s most lucrative clients propositions Sal, Sal turns him down, which leads the client, the heir to the Lucky Strike cigarette fortune, to insist upon Sal’s dismissal. It’s particularly unsettling that Don does the firing, since it was he who witnessed Sal’s near-romp in Baltimore and warned him only to “limit exposure.” Batt said Sal’s real shock is the realization that he no longer has an ally in Don.

Mad Men’s Bryan Batt on his jaw-dropping scene

“I do feel Sal felt very betrayed because there many different options that could have come into play to save his job, but none of that was exercised,” Batt says. “Don didn’t do anything; he basically washed his hands and did not believe Sal when he told him the honest truth. It’s the ultimate case of sexual harassment meets homophobia. Sal is completely innocent. He played by the rules, he did what he’s supposed to do, and he gets punished for it. It’s quite sad.”

The million-dollar question, of course, is whether we’ve seen the last of Sal. Batt is expectedly tight-lipped, but he thinks viewers shouldn’t lose all faith…
